The Havannah set to open its doors

Vanuatu's newest luxury Resort is putting the finishing touches on what will be a fabulous holiday option when next you take a short break to Vanuatu.
The 6 luxury Villas are set on the shores of Havannah harbour which is on the main island of Efate's northern coast.
Whilst the Resort is some 30 minutes by road from Port Vila your private transfer from the airport will have you there in no time and once you arrive and settle into the Resort you will know why you chose this piece of paradise for your short break. You may also choose to travel from Port Vila to you Resort by helicopter and enjoy some of the most beautiful views of Vanuatu.
Havannah Harbour teams with sea life from playful Dolphins to the fascinating Dugongs. Guests can also take short trips to neighbouring islands to explore and soak up some of the culture of Vanuatu or simply be dropped at a deserted beach to enjoy the sun. The water and a delightful picnic lunch carefully prepared by master chef Greg Pechan.
Every Villa has their own private plunge pool on the deck and with the ocean a stone's throw further away you may find that you just want to spend more time enjoying you immediate surrounds.

Vanuatu Golf Open 2009

Well it's only 7 weeks till the VGO kicks off again for 2009.
Our committee and the greens staff at the Port Vila Golf & Country Club www.pvgcc.vu have all been busily putting the nuts and bolts on what will be another great week of golf in paradise.
The full week's activity schedule is published on the VGO website www.vanuatugolfopen.info for players to view.
Last years defending champion mens (Brad McIntosh) and champion ladies (Stepanie Brennan) players are back to defend their titles. In addition promising Queensland junior Evan Sinclair has made an early stat to his title bid this year by getting in an early visit in June.
Local stars Tony Mansale and Joespho Matuatu are fine tuning tehir already impressive games and if Josepho continues the form I witnessed when I played with him last week he will give the professionals a nudge.

Go Queenslanders

What a night for the mighty maroons. Sitting in the newly renovated Anchor Inn in Port Vila looking out over the harbour and watching the maroons smack the hapless blues was pure joy to my heart.
A cold tusker or three made it a very pleasant evening out
